children’s creative dance & movement

creative dance

Creative movement and dance places the imaginative and creative potential of a child first and foremost. My work with younger children includes nurturing their unique imaginations as a stimulus for dancing, as they experimentally move on impulse to create shapes and actions, and create independently and with partners. My work with older children includes guiding them to develop their creative voice and style, as they expand their movement vocabulary, improvisational skills and choreographic craft, and experiment with various methods for creating dances.

creative dance training & resources

I provide tailored mentoring and training for adults working with children, including teachers, dancers, and parents.

I provide free resource films on YouTube. The majority of which were made for and commissioned by CoTA as a resource for teachers and families during the pandemic.

promotes engagement, accessibility, learning, and relevance for students.

“Journey to America” documents a 2nd grade class project, integrating dance standards with history-social & english language arts standards.
